Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 28, 2026
Ripasso is developed and operated by Blockwise LLC (Company ID: 405502585, D-U-N-S: 933913942), incorporated in Tbilisi, Georgia ("we", "our", or "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use Ripasso on your iOS device.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
Ripasso is designed with a privacy-first architecture. All data you create within the app — including sentences, priorities, preferences, and usage statistics — is stored on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, synced to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. We have no access to any of this data at any time.
2. Data Storage
App data is stored as follows:
- Sentences and learning content — stored in a Core Data database on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced to your private iCloud account via CloudKit.
- App settings and preferences — stored in UserDefaults on your device only.
- Notification scheduling data — stored in UserDefaults and managed through Apple's local notification system (UNUserNotificationCenter). Not synced to iCloud.
We have no access to any of this data. iCloud sync is automatic if you are signed into iCloud on your device. If you are not signed into iCloud, all data remains local to your device only. You can manage or disable iCloud sync for Ripasso at any time through your device's Settings.
3. Notifications
Ripasso uses local notifications to deliver your learning content. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification data is sent to or processed by any external server. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through the app's Settings or through your device's system Settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Ripasso uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your data across your devices when you are signed into iCloud. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data. Ripasso does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, tracking, or other third-party data collection services.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties. Your learning content is synced only to your own private iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled) and is never accessible to us or anyone else.
6. Children's Privacy
Ripasso does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since the app does not collect any personal information from any user, it is suitable for users of all ages.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete individual sentences at any time within the app. To remove all local app data, delete the Ripasso app from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, your data will also exist in your private iCloud account — to remove it from iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your device, or delete the data through iCloud.com.
8. Security
Your data is protected by iOS device encryption and app sandboxing. Data synced to iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, in accordance with Apple's security practices.
9. Your Rights
Because all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you have full control over your data at all times. You can view, modify, or delete any data directly within the app.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
